Pasture & livestock production to be lower in most locations – potentially 15 to 20% lower by 2030
Many climate forecasts suggest that, on average, temperature may increase by approximately 1⁰C and rainfall may reduce by approximately 10% by 2030 (but see Locations for specific examples in your area).
Modelling undertaken by CSIRO for SLA2030 indicate that such changes are likely to have a significant impact on pasture and livestock production – potentially reducing them by 15% to 20%.
